    • Thanx Wayne

Anyone who has organized one of these events can vouch for the amount of work that goes into it. I'm so sorry Kenny never got a chance to see the fruits of his labour. The fact that it was such a success is a testement to the amount of time and effort that went into it. I want to thank YOU Wayne for stepping up on Kens behalf to ensure that all his planning was expedited. Your a first class act Wayne, and I'm proud to call you a friend!

      • We made it home around noon.....ran the 650 on I-81 for a bit and found out it only gets 30mpg at 75mph......switched over to reserve about 5 miles from home. Marty and Sally to stay here tonight and head home from there. Thanks to all who worked on this to make it a success!

        • Another finds their home roast

All righty then. After a totally awesome weekend of riding I just took a easy round about trip home. Fantastic ride thru country side, added up to a couple of extra hours and a couple of hundred kms more.
Last 15 K was rain and sunshine mixed, switched to the reserve as I sputtered into town. Totally beautiful.

Thanks to all that shared the days.

          • Nice 370 mile ride today from 1,000 Islands across NY. Took 30 minutes to get across the border and the XS11 handled that on-off, idle just fine. Then 12A, 3, 104 then down around the hills & dales of the Finger Lakes. In SW NY tonight. No rain and sunny ride along the southern tier.

Even rode on Hoe Road. It turned out to be gravel. Nice scenery. How did I find that one you ask?? Well when the red & blue lights started flashing I wasn't too curious to wait around to find out why they were flashing. if ya know what i mean... Just concerned that they happened to light up after I went by.

Great seeing everyone at the Rally. The news about Ken was just devastating. One of those situations where there are no words to describe the emotion. Plan to be back in Atlanta on Thursday night. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

That's a shame Earl. I'm no stranger to electrical problems with the "Phoenix". Do a load test on your battery and check your contacts. Maybe check or remove your tip switch too. Good luck. At least you made it home.

Check the fuse under the cover on the left side. 30 amp, and there is space for a spare in the rubber holder. It is an odd size, so you may have to go to NAPA to get a replacement.

Here is a wiring diagram to help you trouble shoot. The fuse I am talking about is shown in the upper right hand corner of the diagram.

                  • Mine went dead on the way to XS East 2013. In the photo is our favorite wingman, Brent doing troubleshooting. I believe the connector visible above the coils was the culprit. Contact cleaner fixed it. I hope yours is as simple, Earl.

Here a short video leaving Sunday morning and arriving for lunch in Perth

I'd start by checking if the battery still a charge. If not test your regulator and all grounds. You clocked a lot of miles Earl and something might be loose.

Thank you Dwayne. That means a lot to me. I had a difficult time I went through this weekend. I really appreciate everything that all my fellow XSers have given me. I have nothing but respect for You and all my XS friends.

                          Thank you again,
