I did hear from Brent. I sent him a PM birthday wish and asked him if he wanted me to send him some more maple syrup (I got him some real Canadian stuff) He said not to send any by mail. He has a "Diabolical" plan to ride up and get some on his own. Once his supply runs out his family will be packing his bike to get some more. He's too funny! I'm assuming they still have some left

Just checked out a route to the border at the Buffalo side from Haliburton. Seems there is no real alternate route there because you need to travel around the west side of Lake Ontario. The Google route says to head west across 118 to hwy 11 to hwy 400 then everything is directly south from there. I can however find you a route that will take you south of Lake Simcoe toward Newmarket to the hwy 400. All that is doing is adding additional time to your already long drive.

Hi Wayne. I've been following the XSNorth posts and I want to go. But Bruce is not committed yet and I have not talked to Dave nor the guy who bought my XS last year. We are all going to try and make the National Bike Show in Moncton on Feb 11. It is there where I'll try to get a commitment from all of them. If it is a go, room(s) will be booked in a few days after that.
It would not hurt if you and hamjam sent Bruce some personal emails or phone calls to prod him on. Dave will go,I know, if he gets time off from work.
BTW, Goggle route from here to there takes us through Renfrew. That's perfect because I can leave the trailer there like last year.Mark Robertson,
