    boarder crossings

I have to agree there is no way to calculate boarder crossing times. I've crossed at Sarnia, the Sault, Niagara, the Kingston area and one little country crossing in Man near Ont . Kingston took the least time but the hick station the LONGEST. It was manned by Capt. America who rode a Hog to work and poor me with a metric ride. Always the slowest going into the USA. Off days and odd hours just mean less gates open and more bored agents.
That's what has happened to me.
"first 60 years of childhood were real fun" Looking forward.

Hey Icecyle: I agree with border crossing assement. We go Mich through the Sault once a year in the middle of sept on a thursday afternoon - always about 15mins to get into the states (line up is always past the bridge on the other side) & maybe 10 mins to get back in Canada on the sunday afternoon (golf trip). Obviously the timing of the crossing (dates) is whats the killer. The baby thing on the signature is hilarious. Man, I must still be a child cause I get confused too in that scene. Hell Tom Rogers activar stunds me. - Dan

I was hoping that somebody would propose another rally for next year. I would like to got to the XSEast rally now that my health has improved but the one being proposed for south Ohio is just too far. For Bruce, David and me to go to it from Nova Scotia we would be traveling about 2500 km each way and take at least 3 days to get there.

This XSNorth rally is still a long way but it is about 1700 km each way and we could do it in 2 long day's drive each way. This is doable and because the whole trip is done in Canada, if any health issues crop up, getting aid would be easier. So, we will give this rally serious consideration.

          Hi Mark,
Good to hear you are getting better. It will be great if you make it to XSNorth. As you know XSEast move around and has been in the north east for the last few years unfortunately you were unable to make those in Vermont and eastern PA.

Even though Rick started this thread and suggested North Bay, I believe there will be a meeting set up near the beginning of December in Toronto to MAYBE decide further on the location and the date.

Because of the two hoildays so close together I can say that it should be the first weekend in July.

I figure the people that are going to step up to the plate should get together and decide the "forsure" where.

I fully understand about the holidays needing to be book in advance. I have been there..... sorry to say that isn't a problem anymore.

                      Open to suggestions

I'm still hoping for the CAN/USA long weekend.
Are there any other location ideas? Thousand Islands or Ottawa area are cool, but the traffic could be heavy. If anyone can speak french the north shore of Quebec along the St. Lawrence is beautiful.
                      Thx BDF

thousand islands and the Prescott-ogdensburg bridges to Ontario are the least traveled and have the shortest wait times ! that is if they are convenient for our US friends they are both located at the eastern end of lake Ontario ride safe ,,slow mo!

Yes very true... far better than Sarnia/Port Huron or Fort Erie/Buffalo crossings on a holiday weekend.

as the name implies it's NORTH .
Some people came via Sault St Marie last year
As wth any rally it will be too far for some who might like to attend it will be on the wrong week end for others. Pick the time and place and let people decide for them selves whether they will attend.
Those thatb have made the effort in past years know we have a good time
