    • Back in Ottawa,

      Great Ride, Thanks Hamjam

1326 km round trip, enjoyed the long way home, with Phil, Tom and Rick though Algonquin Park, Lunch at the Fire House Restaurant in Carnarvon. We split at Route 118, they to wards Bracebridge and me on to Haliburton with a short side trip to Wilberforce. Fast ride on to Renfrew and Ottawa. Was back at 6:30. A lot of new black top on 118.

                • I'm awake now

Many thanks to all who helped out making the rally a great success. Especially Hamjam and MaximPhil (sometimes known as Refill Phil). Everyone helped out when needed.
Great people and great roads, Ya can't ask for more.
Special shout out to all those that travelled in from the States to make the show. Brent deserves special mention for coming up from Georgia and bringing the monkey butt powder. Gary gets one too for his side car monkey perfomance.
I really can't imagine how I could have had a better time.
Thanks to all who attended. Rick

                      • Late... as usual .

It was a great pleasure for you all to have met me at XSNorth. . OK... maybe not but, it WAS a pleasure for me to have met a great bunch of XS'ive men and women, with whom I can now put faces to names (well, I could put faces to names... not too sure I'll remember which names go with which faces . Guess I'll just have to make it to more of these so the names 'll start to sink in !

Thanks to all for being gentle with me and making my first time relatively painless . It's not every day - or weekend - that you get to ride some Gr8 Roads, see some Gr8 Rides and share it all with a bunch of Gr8 Riders. A leisurely way to meet new people and make new friends and, for many, to renew old friendships . Health issues aside, (unfortunately they follow me wherever I go ) I had a great time. Hopefully next time I'll be able to stay awake for the closing dinner and festivities.

To those with positive remarks and compliments on "Diablo's Mistress's" appearance... a sincere 'thank you' !

And finally, there's nothing like making an inconspicuous entrance your first time out !

Hope to see you all again, real soon !

                        Safe Riding!

                        Ron

                        p.s. Hammy (Hamjam) 'match game'.
