I live in Northern Va. My tenative plans are to either head up Thurs night or Friday morning.

Given anymore thought as to your plans? I'm planning on heading out of here Friday but may be leaving from the Howard county Maryland area. I'm checking with a buddy up there to see if he wants to ride along.

        Hi Randy,
Please can you tell us WHERE:
        Sunday Lunch stop is ?
        and Gas stop at 120mi.
I mean town name / Highway cross roads?
Some of us need to head NORTH and need to plan our route home.
Come to think of it, knowing the routes will help us avoid them on our rides into the event too
        Thanks

        • OK, Phil.

Realizing that Memorial Day is not a holiday for our brothers and sisters north of the border, and you may not have Monday off as a ride day, I guess the only fair thing to do is to post a poll to get a concensus on the group dinner night.

Sun lunch stop will be in Hancock, NY, near rte 17. It's the most northerly leg of the run, you lucky Canucks!

I'm just seeing how everything is shaping up. Will have to consider weather, son's bike, etc. Where's a good place to meet up? I'm thinking the I-95 rest stop before Baltimore.

                        • Looks Like I'll be attending

Well,I originally said that maybe I'd attend if I could get MadMax fixed in time...as it now appears to be the case...so i am attempting to make some reservations...originally was thinking of coming up on Sat a.m. but that would mean breakfast on the way up to meet by 9a.m. for the Sat ride.So although I work on Friday...could still leave in time to get there before sundown...Hopefully weather will be good as i dont like rain ridin that much...Since my only fully faired bike is my ST1100..if the weather is inclement I might just show up on it.I do have a Vetter for the Max but I have yet to figure that one out.....thats for another thread....I was wondering how many ppl plan to show up on bikes other than the XS/XJ1100s'?Does anyone think/feel this would be inappropiate? • Obviously a noob to the XS Rallies!

A good rally is 50% XS and 50% other bikes and all the XS's start the morning of the ride.
You'll see FJR, Kawasaki Buick Electra (that's the Canadian version with the big fins, the fake chrome plated intake hole in the hood, and the fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror), Nighthawk, Tuono. Some dedicated souls arrive in rented 4 door automatic single exhaust electric window vehicle. They are also welcome.

Ride something and then ride it with us.
