    • Another great gathering!

With Mark S we did an expeditious and circuitous route through the middle of PA, left him off near Ohio. Arrived home 8 PM, 1103 miles round trip.

Glad to see new faces, more different XS's, and of course glad to see the old faces!

Great job organizing it all Randy! Don't work too hard cleaning up all that left over beer...

Somebody gonna start an XS East 2009 post?

It's kind of odd that he got to stop my from " running around on that dam motorcycle" again. Have a great time, i'll see ya next year.

My sympathy to you. This is "once in a lifetime important" stuff. We do the rally every year. I will be looking for you next year.

My bad. I forgot to mention That Gary was the winner of the Harley Award. If it existed, he would also get the Ingenuity Award for stuffing a whole XS into his minivan!

              • Re: Another couple of safe arrivals.

Randy, you forgot the Harley Award Recipient....and it wasn't ME!!! I won it last year since I had trailered Godzilla then, but I rode it the 350+ miles this time. The Xsive with the 78E from Canada that brought his "IN" his minivan while coming up from Florida, and was returning with Wayne Redding, recieved the dubious award...I regret that I can't recall his name/handle! Dang CRS!!!
His name is Gary... and what a nice/funny and engaging fellow XSive at that...

                  Hi Russ,
On sunday we were just about to go to dinner so I thought I would put my bike up on the mainstand for the night. I've done it probably a thousand times but this time as I pushed down and lifted I flet my back just pop and then followed by excruciating pain. I managed to bring it back to the side stand but almost dropped it the other way. I had to sit there with my back against the concrete post for a few minutes while the dizziness and cold sweats went away. I got helped up and made it to my room under my own power. Gary from Canada got me some ice and I had that on my back for quite a while. Then much later followed by a hot bath. It felt better today, but I wasn't up to riding 9 hours home so Gary suggested I drive his van and he rode my bike home. You're a good man Gary. Thanks again. The doctor said that I haven't slipped a disc but have severe muscle spasm.
I've never hurt my back before, but I can tell you, it hurt bad. I'll be ok in a couple of days.

Thank to all who came to my rescue that day. You're a kind and considerate group and I'm proud to call you friends.

                  Thanks again,
                  Wayne

                  • Wayne I hear Canadian Club is a first rate muscle relaxer. I take some stuff from the doc when mine spasms. Hurts like a bitch don't it. It always gets my attention.

Hey Wayne. How did you get home from Gary's? Hope you heal quickly.

                          • Hi Group:
Looks like I'm probably the last one to check in. Took the 675 mile scenic route with Marty and Sally. Arrived home at about 1:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
Thank you Randy for such a great rally. Your attention to every detail for this rally was much appreciated. It was great to see everyone. I'm just bummed that it's already over.
I hope to see you all next year.
