    Can someone help i,ve got a 82 xj11 and put a 4 into 1 open header took out the airbox and replaced with pod filters and I know I have to rejet it. Any ideas how big I should Start with i found a guide line by Denny but it says it's for 78 thru 81 I have
    an 82 with XS650 Mikuni 34mm carbs will the same guidelines work?

    I have the same setup and just followed the guidlines listed for the XS, then narrowed it down checking the plugs using the "chop" method. Unfortunately I did not write down the final settings on my carbs or I would post them for you as a starting point, though as always ymmv.
    1984 XJ1100 - 79 cams, XS850 FD, XS triple tree/euro cafe bars, hydraulic clutch, bar end mirrors, yamaha R1 rear mono-shock
    1972 CL350 - clubmans, Mike's XS coils/condenser, '98 Yamaha R1 rearsets (If I can find some at a decent price)

      I have the same set up as you, I went with 122.5 mains and left pilots stock, I believe stock for the xj was 47.5. Went out with idle screws 3 or 4 turns and had it syncronized. Runs good.
