        OMG!! That is truly amazing!

Man, now polishing may not seem like enough....that looks great.

Chrome kicks ass! I want as much shiney on mine as I can get too.

Do you still have your arm and leg left after paying for all that?

I like it a lot! Don't forget to buy a little tube of "Never Sieze" for your SS Allen Head Cap Screws so you can get them back out later on! How soon will it take you to get everything on so you can send more pictures? I too would like to know what it cost for everything. PS- I did need to ream out some of the holes as the chrome plating made the holes smaller. Good Luck!

I also forgot to ask if you are going to fill in the Yamaha letters (both the alternator and inductor covers) with paint? I stayed with black enamel on mine but matching the tank color might look pretty neat too.

AK....There was a conversation in another post that was wondering if putting chrome on the Rear wheel would mess up the rubber isolators where the bolts go.

Can you tell us if the people who did your work remove them, or protected them somehow during the process? I think one of questions was would it have to be Hot plated or cold plated.?

Thanks for the kind words guys. I've spent the entire day slowly putting the front end back together. Is a Tkat fork brace suppose to be extremely close to the front fender? It's so tight I can't get it on and I know it's the special version.

Anyways, the chrome was done by Plating Specialties in Grand Junction Co, http://www.platingspecialties.com Total price was, gulp, $1900 I guess that's cheap when compared to what a modern bike would cost. The wheels were $475 + 70 shipping. Clutch housing was $140, gear box cover was $70, stator cover was $70, valve cover was $180, and the timing cover was $70.

As for the wheels, I'm not sure what type of chrome they used on them, but they send them away to a specialist in chroming wheels. The rubber bits are still intact, and they didn't need to press anything out.

Here's a few more pictures (and yes I know the pinch bolts are on back wards ) The controls are from MikesXS and it's going to require some creative wiring to make them work.

Yes, my Tkat brace just barely misses special fender.
