I'm almost certain that I have the holes facing the right way. I better re-check since she's getting rubber tomorrow I do remember buying two extra set's of disc brake locks just in case though
I'll try to document the control swap process as much as possible. I'll be honest though, I'm not very good at electrical stuff. So far it seems like a pretty straight forward swap as all the wire colors match the XS11 wiring diagram exactly, though there is an extra black wire (ground) on the left control that I'll have to find a home for.
For polishing the cooling fins I've had good luck with first sanding them down with fine grit emery cloth on a flat sanding block. You'll know when your done when you can no longer see any machining grooves in the edge of the fin. After that I take a felt drum dremel attachment, load the drum with jeweler's rouge, and going to town. The fin edges look like chrome after this, but unfortunately it does take some time.
