I just have to say that I'm surprised after riding the bike last weekend....

I don't know how long the JB weld will hold, but I reassembled the carbs and they seemed to work fine.

While I was at it, I wanted to experiment and went down from 135 mains to 130. I haven't color-tuned or synched the carbs yet, but the bike ran very well.

I hope it will run reliably enough so that I can just ride for a summer. With the new front master, slotted discs, a new Dunlop 491 on the rear, and a good rear disc, the bike (when it decides to run at all) has run better than ever.

If I can keep tweaking it along and it will stay reliable, I very much want to paint and polish it. Love House of Kolor paint but it is very expensive, and people have been raving about PPG paint or whatever it was, so maybe I'll try that.

So we'll see how long the epoxy holds.

K........Thanks Ben, Green River was just kinda a guess for halfway since the big station and convenient store is right there off Interstate. That's bout a 120miler for me. If you know a better spot, even if it's farther for me, that's fine too(U know the saying:it's the ride, not the destination).
