well yesterday was a ok day to take the bike out and hot rod it alittle bit. well got it all warmed up and took off rode a few miles and i notiaced that the clutch was not having to be pulled in to shift i could just let out of the gas a shift it does this mean my clutch is all out of adjustment or is my clutch in need of replacement this spring before i go race it and i f so where can i get a whole new clutch and springs. and the clutch was slipping last season but some guys helped me out and got it adjusted but i did plan on replacing the clutch and the springs this year because even after we got it adjusted i think it had a little slip in it since i could never get over 100 in the quater and i think i should of been over 100 easy

The XS1100 can be shifted without the clutch, but it's NOT a good idea. The clutch will "soften" the hit as you change gears, and allow them to last longer.
I put new "heavy duty" springs in my clutch, and it helped a LOT. The pull is a little heavyer, but I don't slip at 6K in third any more. For drag racing, the heavy springs are a MUST.
