OK... Probably a dumb question for most, but I just installed a new cam chain. When you connect the master link, what's the best way to mash the ends so it stays? I don't have the high dollar tool, and I am afraid of mashing it too much and crimping the new chain.
Also.... screwed around and dropped one end of my cam chain back down into the motor. I tried to use a telescoping pen-type magnet, but it kept grabbing everything except what I wanted... especially when I got to the crank. So... with a small flashlight in my mouth.... I took a long screwdriver, attached the magnet to the tip of it, and pushed it right down to the chain... picked up the end, and pulled it right out. Took all of 2 minutes!! Maybe this can help family relations when your brother-in-law wants to help!!
