Thanx TC, was wondering where the thread went to. lol
Im in Aus, so i bought the seals from yamaha, they werent to badly priced considering they were genuine $4.00 Au each, you need 8 of them.
my bike is an '81, I dont think they would be any different thru
the models but im not 100% sure, Its a job well worth doing
tho the carbies can be a little tricky to completely strip right down
there is nothing in the clymers that describes the complete tear
down of the carbs, if ur contemplating doing the seals and u need any advice or tips let me know.
the part number on the packet ive got is 256-14997-00
i tried to take som pics of the old seals, but it was 2 blurry.
they were all hard and lost a lot of its pliability.
when and if u take the old seals out place them on the throttle shaft and hold up to a light, mine had gaps between the shaft and seal.
