Cold Starting Issue

HOwdy,,,,I have a 81 Venture that needs the petcock on prime to start easily,and on the center stand when sitting for days,,,,like you,,,wait a bit then turn over,,,also if I want immediate fire up, I shoot some instant start in the carb inlet and it will fire almost instantly. I probably could spend hours and hours fine tuning the carbs but don't. I change plugs every 4k,,,,run Stabil over the winter in the tank and the bike has run strong over 20 plus years. Sort of relieved to hear I'm not the only one who's run into this. I've always used Stabil when stored, plus I gave it the Techron treatment and new plugs this spring, but the starting issue remained exactly the same.
