i've read the many tip sections on this subject, studied the books i can find, and can do a pretty fair job usually, but i'm doing something new (for me) this time. i'm going to paint the main body of my carbs, the float bowl and top cap are buffed to near chrome, and i think painting the carb body will make those parts stand out even more. but how do you get that really good, smooth as glass, factory-ish new car finish if you can't sand/paint/ repeat, repeat, repeat? there are way to many nooks and granies to be able to do that real light sanding.
when my wife asks how long this is going to take, and i say my target for completion is april, she asks which year. we repeat this weekly.
