I am doing tires, so thought I might as well replace the original wheel bearings. I like to sort things out slowly as I go with the bike. So of course the front bearing was easy to find (not easy to remove, a whole different story) but the rear bearing seems to be unobtanium. DEEBS11 I saw you using one off Ebay somewhere? I haven't pulled the back wheel yet, I am not really sure what the bearing setup is back there. What bearings do I need, and seals? Cheers.

Left rear wheel bearing for sale - XS11.club Forums You can go to Partzilla and look up your bike and you can find the rest of the bearings listed and I believe most are still available. It was the one NA 5904 which was thought to be unobtanium. As you can see it too is available.2 - 80 LGs bought one new

Bearing replacement starts by removing the right bearing first after removing the retaining clip. This will expose the base of the left bearing that can be knocked out with a long drift. Because of this, the left bearing can be removed without damaging it. I usually warm up the bearing area with a propane torch first. Everything moves much easier that way.

Finding 60% moly spline grease these days is not easy. I only use this quality spline grease on my XS11, Moto Guzzi, Valkyrie, & BMW.

I bought that same Pit Posse bearing remover and it made my life SOOOOO much better. I wished I had bought it sooner.
I used to spend a couple of hours heating and pounding on the bearings to get them out. Now it just takes a few minutes with no trouble.-Mike
