Kick start lever

Hi, I have the original detachable kick start that lives under the battery. Has anyone ever fitted a permanent kick start? If so, I have a couple of questions. Is there a readymade one that will fit straight on? If not, what make and model kickstart did you use and what sort of fabrication was required to get it to fit and work. I have a xs750 one that I could use, but the geometry means that it will require quite a bit of modification. Thanks

850 kick will go straight on just file the spline where the bolt goes through.

I’m not positive the boss is the same. If it is, the XS650 kicker is a good option. XS650 had three different ones. The earlier kickers are the robust straight ones.

Thanks for the tip, I messaged the ebayer that DEEBS11 sent, whether they would ship to the UK and how much, but no reply. I will hunt for the XS650 kickstart. Cheers

TPhil let me know how you get on, xs650 kick start levers are averaging £75 in the UK, and don't really want to gamble that at the moment. What I might do is to use the original detachable kickstart, use it as a pattern to get the correct shape. Then modify a xs750 kick start to match. If it works I will post it here
