I just wanted to know what everyone is doing to replace the subject part that is no longer available. It is the rubber part that is shown in the picture item 30.

About 2 years ago I was looking at replacing rubber pieces on my 80 SG.- the side cover grommets and found some on E bay that had various rubber pieces.1980 XS1100 SG

The first few times, I tried getting a big electrical grommet and increasing the size of the slot on the bandsaw. Unfortunately, they didn't last.
Now I am using two rubber garden hose washers (not the plastic ones). You can wrap the stud with a split pice of rubber hose or silicone tape.-Mike
