Another thought: The plugs in the battery box area. Check those connections.

You guys are great and thanks for all the help, This morning I unpluged the jump i created in the upright position sensor and cranked the engine, cough and sputter this time, definatly some spark there, i will dive in soon, put the tank back on and see what we got going. Can't thank this group enough.

Sounds good AL. The green area on the schematic shows where the issue was.

That is a great and usefull schematic ! Had a nice ride in southern Maine yesterday on my classic , sounded like a sewing machine, perfect.
