ID:	874215 So I removed the tank ( as I was cleaning off all the dust and road film after fixing the acct ) and noticed a few of the hoses are harder than I'd like. I hit Oreilly's for a temp fix but auto fuel line is thicker and a pain in the arse.
I also noticed that after forty years it takes more effort than it should to turn to select a position on the petcock. Years ago I rebuilt a pair on a 650-think Mike's is who I bought 'em from.
    Anyway, am looking for recommendations

MikesXS would be a good place to get both fuel line and petcock rebuild kits. The Special used the same bolt spacing/petcocks as the smaller Yamaha's of the era.

Check out a small engine repair shop for the lines, they usually have the stuff we want.

This is what Phil recomends for fuel and vacuum hose.

Yes, the Tygon is good fuel line. I never used their vacuum hose though, usually use hi temp silicone vac hose.

That's what's on it now-but way to hard-no flexibility whatsoever.

Mine's actually an SH, not an H. Would I be right in assuming the kit is for either, anyway?
                TIA

That's not the right kit for the Special, that is for a Standard with vacuum operated taps. It appears that the kit you need is out of stock at MikesXS.

Here's another vendor, I know you don't like eBay...

go to a bike shop that specializes in Japanese motorcycles and they generally will have the right type of hose. Here is another source for the petcock rebuild kits. XJ1100 XS1100 SPECIAL PETCOCK KIT XS1100SF XS1100LG - georgefixs Store
                    2 - 80 LGs bought one new

                      Good call Jim.

You sure that's the correct one for THIS petcock? The other one has the cylindrical gasket for where it mounts to tank like mine has. Here's a close up.

Well, I ordered the ones suggested from George's. Thanks guys. ( I realized that the cylindrical gaskets can be shaped from circular ones. Duh! )
                          ( also $20 less than Mike's )

I buy my Tygon line on E-Bay as I dont know of any dealerships by me. There used to be 3 but I think they closed. Last time I was at a place that sold motorcycles had to be 2011? Took a Ducati 900 Monster for a test ride.
