  • carb top screw size

Does anyone know what size screw to attach the top to the carburetor? Metric screw maybe M 4? Takes 16 screws-need extras.

Take old one to hardware store and buy new one with an allen wrench head. Much easier to work with.

I guess people don't read the post-unable to physically go to the store at the moment.

The bolt size is in the last digits of the part number.

Your welcome. The hex head bolts are so much easier to use and I just can’t count the number of times I’ve had those carbs apart. Jeff

I've had a problem using them and others have as well, it's easy to put too much torque on them and strip out the threads so be careful!

I identify as a man but according to the label on a package of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four!

I agree it is much easier to strip the threads out of the carb. One thing I have found with the hex head bolts is that if you buy them a bit longer then OEM philips (JIS) headed screws that you have much less chance to strip anything out. More to work with.
