Hello all,
have a 1980 xs110sg that the previous owner must of put the wrong plugs in and ruined the pistons. Also, some water must have gotten in and there is some rust in 2 & 3 so needs to get bored out. My question is, being oversized pistons are next to impossible to find, or have to go after market. Would you just go with the wiseco 74.00mm BB kit or go after market oversized. I took them in to get measured and he said I could probably get away with 10 thou over to clean them up.
so, just wondering on options. I’d rather not over bore to 74.00 if I don’t have to but wiseco probably isn’t going anywhere if I needed rings down the road. Just looking at options. Would you just look for new jugs, and stock pistons and risk them not being any good or just bore it and move on.
doesn’t seem to be much options for oversized aftermarket out there.
I did check some salvage places around the area but not much there on these. All kept outside so probably seized
