XJ4Ever.com offers a complete Dyna Coil kit for the XS1100. It comes with detailed instructions, coils, wires (in choice of color), caps and all of the new brackets and hardware you need. I did the job on my bike in 30 minutes from start to finish! A few years out, I couldn't be happier.
If you think you can save a few bucks running back and forth to the hardware store, then do that instead.Marty (in Mississippi)

Ok so now to my question-what would cause the #4 cylinder to not get hot? Coil was replaced but not hot like the others. Is this a fuel issue? Is this a pickup coil issue? #1 pipe is hot like 2 and 3. One thing I did after a ride which seemed normal-I as per photo above adjusted #4 float to 23 mm. My guess is the pilot jet is probably clogged up with ethanol residue. If the bike isn't ridden much, this is likely to happen.
