Ok In my ongoing quest to have the bike running good after my carb cleaning, I have noticed something that was bothering me. Looking at the fuel line I replaced a few months ago, I had a slight almost kink in the fuel line that connects to an inline fuel filter. The fuel line I bought recently was thin walled, flexible but not very tough. I had thicker walled Tygon fuel line from years ago. I removed the yellow thin-walled line and replaced it with a slightly longer thick-walled line. In the line right after the filter, was some black sediment that I think was from the leftover winter fuel. I'm thinking the sediment got in the lines and caused some issues. The bike still runs good, smooth steady idle. Hopefully no more issues but these bikes cannot go long with gas stored in the tank untreated. Long story short-I got to ride the bike more than I did previously.1980 XS1100 SG
