  • Xj1100 octopus rebuild

Does anyone know if I can get a rebuild kit for the octopus on my 82 xj1100 maxim, or if it will just need to be bypassed.

Babbittsonline.com Diaphragm Assembly 3H3-24520-01-00 $151.99, or buy used on ebay for about $60, or you can replace with 2 brass "T" fittings. I have traded for a few that it was left off. I try to put them back original.

or try georgefix on ebay, https://www.ebay.com/itm/36200130540...EAAOSwZBphHFJR I've had good luck with most of his products. The K&L kits work on the petcocks, but the carb kits are only good for gaskets, as the jets are the wrong size.

Way overpriced. The entire petcock and octupus rebuild kits can be found on ebay almost daily at below $25, as Ray has pointed. out. One thing to watch out for are the o rings to be used to seal the petcocks onto the fuel tank. They are generally just a tad too thin and don't seal well. I always use larger ones to ensure a good seal.
