As an addendum, I had poor acceleration and popping under throttle. Being an XS owner, my first thought was clogged carbs. Triple clean, same issue. So I sprayed carb cleaner on the boots and found a vacuum leak on the #1 carb boot. Remove and reseal, sync (again), and problem solved.
