Someone may have put some type of restrictor in the line to minimize vacuum advance plate chatter. Nothing wrong with doing this. An old pilot jet works well for this.

      Hey Adolph,
Make sure your vacuum advance line is connected to the #2 carb body port tube, NOT The Intake BOOT Synch Port. IF so, that may also be why the PO put in a restrictor. The Port on the #2 carb body IS metered, and shouldn't need a restrictor valve device.

Yeah, if the carbs are not synched properly, the restrictor helps. +1 TC on having the hose going to the +2 carb body. I'm sure Adolph has it hooked up correctly.

Hi Adolph, Wondering why you are asking. Did you find a restrictor in the line that seemed out of place or did you notice the vac advance pulsing?
