    Jim, the way I kept the vaccum tubes from pulling out is by using a thread die on them and then pressing them back in with some silicone sealer.

    I also developed a strange issue with the Cheapo boots. They would develop a vacuum leak when they reached a certain temperature. After 30 minutes of riding, the idle speed would increase about 300 RPM more than usual. It unbelievable how flimsy they become when super hot. They may work just fine up in Canada.
    love the idea of the thread die. wish i would have done that. mine are holding ok though.

      I bought a set of the TourMax, and finally opened them up--they are significantly longer than the originals, anyone find the same, and if so, were you able to get them to fit? The angles look to match ok, they are just longer.
