If you take the petcock apart, you will see a lug on the selector. Cut the lug and you can spin it to an "off" position. Been there, done that!
Just use prime for run, but watch your miles as you will not have a reserve.

Pingel makes some but be prepared to spend some money. You'll need the correct adapter plate for an XS Standard..

MikeXS has new ones if that's what you want. The one in the link will fit the XS1100 standard. Be advised there is no left and right, so if you use them on both sides of your tank, the handles will operate in opposite directions.

I installed those petcocks on two of my bikes and I like them a lot.

I have the same petcocks and the leak sometimes they suck lol. You also have to chop the res tube because its too tall and you run out of fuel when theres still over a gallon left in the tank lol

I was curious about those raised internal tubes. I was using a stock special petcock as a reference where you basically have no tubes at all .... just the net filter in a cavity. Thanks for sharing.

thanks to diverRay, ground off tab, awesome idea, now i can keep reserve option and have a manual off, the leakby when shut down, the leak by was miniscule, so can still run on main and reserve, but have a manual off thanks again

The stock petcock filter is two sided, one side for on that has solid sides to the small portion of screen on top, the other side for reserve/pri has screen to the bottom. The "tube" is built into the OEM plastic filter.

I just got done examining an old net filter ... or actually several and see what you are saying. the tube is built in internally and to about that height. Same for both the standard and special net filter. I just happened to have both... although I don't own a standard. So ... that begs the question concerning this replacement petcock. Was it or rather is it geared for bikes with or without an octy or either or? Second question would be I am presuming that the right side of the petcock tubes with the lower pipe .... which is flush with the petcock in the net filter feeds the reserve?
