And the saga continues! I have the "big" tank on, and the bike ran well for 20 miles. Next morning went 6 miles to the local tractor supply and it started running on two cylinders. Finally had time to look at it today. It's the fuel line again!?!?
I've been trying to use the "new" fuel lines, but they keep kinking. I'm going to try and get some of the old rubber thin wall line from a local Honda dealer. I think I have it worked out now, but I just don't trust the lines any more.Ray Matteis

Pick up a couple of elbows instead of new tube. Makes life so much easier. A local parts store should have some on hand.1979 XS1100 Special

I'm already using the 90 degree filters. It's just that the junk line gets hot once, and then it looses it and kinks. This is with a SMALL, 30 degree bend! I just would like to go back to the good fuel line we used to get.Ray Matteis

are you using something like this? Standard automotive fuel line will kink. Hit up your local mower repair shop or big box store and it should be available locally.

That is close to what I have now. The big problem is 1/4" is 0.25", 6mm is 0.236". Should not make a difference, but it can with some fittings and old spring clamps.Ray Matteis
