stock tire for my 78 xs 11 is a 4.50h17, which converts to a 120/90-17. Is that correct?

I'm pretty sure that the size is a 130/90 17" At least that all I've ever seen on the back of XS11 standard models.

I run a 130/90 17 on my '79 standard. I will be getting a new tire soon, and my try for a 140/90 17 if I can find one. I know if you get a blackwall, no raised letters, it just fits.

My '78E has a 130/90 - 17 rear, 100/90 - 19 front.
Both are raise white letter tires.

The standard came with 120/90 but a 130/90 will fit. I ran 120/90 forever, just in the past year put a 130 on. No real diff noted.
Not sure q 140/90 will fit on a standard, not much room 'tween the tire and the drive shaft. A 140/90 does fit on a Special.Marty in NW PA

I have a 140/90 x 16 RWL on my 79 SF tire rubbed on the rear drive arm. I had to shim the wheel/tire away from the drive shaft until it stopped rubbing by adding a washer between the clutch hub and final drive ring gear.
