intake manifold, fuel injection

so for the tech guys out there has anyone seen anyone switch from carbs to throttlebody fuel injection ??
I plan to do just that..
I am a designer and machinist i will be putting this unit on a flow bench and figuring out the throttle diameters.
i may do just one 105mm port or do a dual unit. on slightly smaller than the other..
i will be machining the entire manifold from aluminum. no casting ..
i will also be opening up the ports from a 38mm to ???
any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently designing a 3d surface area of the intake system. including aluminum standoffs from the intake on the motor..
it will eliminate the rubber gaskets.
the fuel injections is still being discussed..
i will post the drawing when proto type is completed.. this may take several weeks to a month to complete depending on how busy our mold shop is.
