Replacement Fuse Block

I did a search..soooooo many results its quicker if I just ask here.

Is the JCW replacement fuse block still the recommended one for my XS1100F?

Hey Jack,

I can't recall which one the JCW one is right at the moment? I can't find one like the one I put on mine a couple of years ago!? I got it at PepBoys. But now, the only one I can find has a much taller mount base......I reckon it could be trimmed down, but not sure how to mount it, since you'd have to cut the mounting brackets off to get it to sit lower!? Whatever you get, just don't go back with glass fuses, get the solid plastic spade styled ones instead!

Found the link and photo: Yes, that's like mine but it has an extra slot, mine only had 5! Do a search for FUSE BLOCK and you'll find a thread that mentions other locations and types!

Ditto what T.C.wrote. The box I used is a 5-slot Littlefuse #350417BP available at Pep Boys. Here's a link to how I installed it:

If you want to keep an OEM setup I have been using Radio Shacks Grey fuse blocks. Remove the old fuse block and grind down the inside of the black case. Then pop rivet the new in place and solder the wires to it. Paste the sticker in place.

I used a partsnmore fuse block assembly that matches up exactly with what is there if you want to go back to as original as you can. If I rember correctly, do a search for partsnmore.com, search for yamaha, then xs1100, scroll down and for $30.00 you have an exact replacement. It requires you to cut into the wire loom. Included all parts and end connectors as well. Easy installation.

I previously bought one for my XJ750 and my XJ1100 but don't remember where, its making me crazy.

I am not going to do any cutting into anything Most I will do is trim it back to fresh wire so I can use the crimp on connectors.

Geesshh now I find out that without the fairing there is no headlight, ears or anything else. So its off to ebay..again.

looks just like the one I bought from wirewerks for $8 or so.

One thing though, maybe its just the way its photographed but I don't see male connectors on the other side (cuz I can't see the other side? )

I was just glad to see info about it, cause I've got 2 XS's I need to rewire and didn't want to have to spend $$ for it, and didn't want to get that TALL one!!
