Sent Chris another e-mail today about my brake lines, that I ordered and paid for in May. I wonder if he would make up brake lines before they were paid for!! Probably not!!
Well I have to agree that 8 monts is too long he should have gotten them to you by now or just give you your money back. Have you heard anything from him?

Gary, Keep us posted, I'd like to get a set from Chris as well. I can appreciate him being too busy to make them, but hopefully he can keep people realistically apprised of when he can deliver.
Unless the Russels have dropped in price since I last checked, I can't really afford to get them - I am still trying to recover financially from our duplex burning down in December (no, we didn't have renter's insurance)
Sent Chris R 7 e-mails last week no reply. Will keep sending till I hear something. If no reply by end of this week, I will tell him to send me a refund.
Should we give up on Chris and pay Merriam cycle (www.xseleven.com)
his $268.00 asking price?
I called Russell directly, said they disscontinued the parts because the last order for them was back in 2001'
Go to your local MC dealer and have him look up the Russel line kits in the performance catalogue (NOT the ready made for XS lines, you will never get those from Russel). You buy premade lines in the lengths you need, and the correct banjo fittings for your bike (12mm I think). I did this on two bikes, the lines are excellant quality, and it cost about $90 to do the front.

I sent him 1 last week telling him of my situation and he replied back asking me to refresh his memory on which set I ordered, I immediately replied with the information.
I'm not sure what the deal is, is it possible that we are just annoying him with all of this email?
Could be. But the only time I would get a reply from him before was to send a lot of emails. He has only sent me 2 replies since May 2002, and said brake lines would be made in the next 2 weeks. The last email I got was in Sept 2002. The time and money are not a big thing for me, it's the lack of communication and promises not delivered.
