    regulator

    HI

Just put in a new old rotor on my 84 xj1100. Charging now but worried to high of volts. I am getting up to 15.2 V while cruising. Any thoughts

Seems a bit high. Sounds like regulator not regulating.

Still working on it. Using a Delco-Remy reg from a GM 10Si alternator. had to shelve that project for more immediate needs, like riding!

As soon as I have some results, I'll post them.

All three of my xs11s use electrinic regulators. I am still using the diode rectifier unit however. I was hoping for better electrical performance near idle, and I believe it did improve, but below 1500 rpms, it does not keep up.
