After cutting off the corroded ends of plug wires when replacing caps, eventually the wire becomes too short to casually reach the plug. I may be sadly misshapen, but I think I recall some sort of extension or splice that could be used to lengthen the wire. Screws onto the wire just like a plug cap does. Is my mind going, or does anyone know if this thing exists?

I seem to recall a device like you're describing, but haven't seen it since the '70's. It had a resistor in it and was used back then for noise suppression for CB's and stereos. Haven't seen one since.Screws onto the wire just like a plug cap does.
Now might be the time to change the coil wires, like this: Coil Wire Fix It's not that big a job.Brian
