  • Plug wire extensions?

After cutting off the corroded ends of plug wires when replacing caps, eventually the wire becomes too short to casually reach the plug. I may be sadly misshapen, but I think I recall some sort of extension or splice that could be used to lengthen the wire. Screws onto the wire just like a plug cap does. Is my mind going, or does anyone know if this thing exists?

I seem to recall a device like you're describing, but haven't seen it since the '70's. It had a resistor in it and was used back then for noise suppression for CB's and stereos. Haven't seen one since.

Now might be the time to change the coil wires, like this: Coil Wire Fix It's not that big a job.

Thanks Brian. My coils are fine, but I'm encountering this quite a bit on the older bikes at work.(Though I did read that link a little while back) Just looking for a fix or recommendation for the customers.
