    Drilled brake rotors

    I did the drilled brake rotor conversion, THANKS to the XS11 forum!!
    I put on the rear disk only so far, I will put on fronts tomorrow. Looks much nicer, I used the template from Ken ( I think, i cannot find the link now to give credit)
    Anyway thanks again to the forum!!

    Got front rotors on, thanks again to Ken and the XS forum.
    Bike looks better with the drilled rotors. I cant wait to try them out in the canyons to see difference in performance.

      John;
      The biggest improvement the drilled rotors make is in wet braking. My first 11, a '78, I went through a stop sign in the rain with front and rear brakes on as hard as I could. after that, I had the front rotors drilled and didn't have any more "wet" brake problems.
      My current 11 has all three rotors drilled, and with the stainless lines, DOT 5 fluid, and rebuilt calipers I can lock up front or rear tires. I also used the pattern from this forum, and a cobalt drill bit!
