rear shock seals for the XJ

Does anyone know if their are seal kits for the air shocks for the XJ ? Or would I be better off taking my chances agian on Ebay ? The right shock is leaking oil from the seal.

Thanks for the offer. I sent you a PM. I am going to experiment with the leaky shocks and hopefully come up with a fix. What have I got to loose. They're trash. If I come up with a fix I'll be posting it.

Did you ever find a fix for the rear shock seals? I'm now having the same issue on my XJ.

No. I havn't spent any time on the old shocks. Been busy with honey do's, work and a little bit of rideing.

            Bummer,

I've only got the one XJ, and can't ride it now with the right rear shock leaking. In fact, I was out on a business trip when it happened and I believe all the fluid has leaked out of it now! I'm wondering if I should just replace both shocks or try to fix them?

Just for that reason I took the OEM shocks off and went with a set from JCW. They were ok, did what they were supposed to do. I would have liked to go with progressive rears but at $400+ just couldn't justify it. Partsnmore, JCW and a number of other vendors have shocks for the XJ1100 for about $80.

                Thanks jacksf,

That's the route I'll probably go, with the shocks being as old as they are it's probably best just to replace them.

Because of the problems I've been hereing about with the XJ air shocks. I now keep the JCW shocks I pulled off, in the saddle bags for just in case.
