final drive and middle drive

the final and middle drive use the same allen wrench. why not cut it down so that when inserted to the fill hole it could read the level of gear oil? save time save money and use the same tool to check your fluid level!

First bike was an: 1978 XS1100
Second bike is an FJR1300.
Now I'm restoring a '79 XS1100.

Oil Levels

Good idea! Thanks for the suggestion. Will make one up with file marks to indicate levels in the morning. Add it to my travelling tool kit.
