    Wow. I have used full synthetic Castoroil in my cycles for years on end with no problem. Additionially, everyone I mention this to, including bike wrenchers, seems to have no problem with it. If enyone has any horror stories, I would be suprised.

      The only problem I've had is the 26 year old gaskets. The synthetic will ooze past, the dino-oil didn't.

        Haven't tried synthetic myself to see... but heard many on here that have and had clutch slip problems. Back to Dino oil... problem goes away. I change my oil about every thousand miles or so... so don't really need the "Extra" protection that Synthetic is supposed to have.
        These oil threads get long because everybody has an opinion... won't say what else. lol. Oil is reletively cheap. Try a few... find out what YOUR bike likes. I imagine some people's bikes love synth... while other's won't take it. Others like Castrol.... some... it makes their bikes run like crap
