Does this stuff really work?I put it in my bike this fall ,before the snow,drove it around for a lot of miles (to make sure it was in carbs good ). A lot of my toys never got it,and they seem to work well when used again. Just curious?

I use it in my boat, and it seems to help. I don't have any problem with the octain going down, the first problem with old fuel. The smaller the container, the more you need it.

Yes, it does help with the fuel. Keep her filled to the top and you will be better able to prevent water condensation from occurring.

It reacts with some of the more short-lived chemicals that are in gasoline, and greatly slows their deterioration. When those chemicals break down, they leave the thicker, varnish like components in the fuel system, and that's what gums up the carbs.
We use it where I work.

I use it in my chainsaws and weedtrimmers but prefer sea foam in the bikes... Never had any problems but snowmobilers around here say it still varnishes the carbs and lines.

It works great as far as preventing the gas from deteriorating after 5-6 months. I don't think it cleans anything in the fuel system though, but it'll prevent gumming and varnishing of the carbs. A friend has a collections of antique and classic cars that run one hour every year at the most, he swears by it.

It's an additive that is added to the fuel, and it keeps it from breaking down in the tank and the carbs, so they don't get gummed up. If you store your bike for the winter, then it is recommended. Where I live, I can ride all year, so I have never had to winterize my bike for storage. Today it was in the low 70's, and tomorrow, mid 70's. Looks like riding weather to me.

i will try to see if i can get it in the uk,but in winter my bikes do not get cold as my garage has central heating,nice and cozy..........

It's not a matter of being cold, as it is of not being used. The longer it sits, the more it breaks down. The warmer it is, the faster it will evaporate. Even if you start it once in a while, the same fuel may be in the tank for months at a time. That is why you would need to use it. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the engine when it is burning the treated fuel either.

In a nut shell Sta-Bil will help your fuel not varnish up. Last summer I posted some pics about what happens to neglected carbs. The pics are a little exteme but the point was made.

as the name implys it's a fuel stabilizer. that part i got i've just heard different theroies on it. figured it couldn't hurt so i'm giving it a go. I'll post on it when riding time comes back around to this neck of the woods.

I use it in my gas that I use in all my lawn equipment. I haven't had a problem with any of the carbs since I started using it about 5 years ago. I try to ride my bikes all winter, so I usually don't use it in them.
