  • HALOGEN light question

picked up a sealed, halogen replacement today.

does anyone know if this is going to pull more juice than a regular bulb?

i don't like to make changes right before a trip - but i really would like to have some more light.

Just check the # of watts. Divide that by 12 and it will give you the # of amps.

      Hey there Beech,

The Special's OEM headlight bulb is rated at 60watts max, so if your new halogen is higher, then, yes, it will draw a few more amps, but as long as you don't have too many other accessories and you're running at cruising speeds/rpm's you should have no trouble powering it even if it's a 80/100 watt bulb.
