R&R Cylinder Head
Kev, never personally had to remove my cylinder head yet. (touch wood) But after following this Forum since the beginning have never heard any one complain about having to pull the engine to get the head off. I'm sure that it is doable.
Further, noticed in your photo of your work in progress that the exhaust cam is still in the engine. If you have turned the engine over very far with that cam stationary it is possible that you tipped a valve or two. Have a look at the position of the lobes on the exhaust cam. If any of them are in the wide open position that valve is now questionable.
