Hey, man...I actually just changed my vent gasket a couple of weeks ago. I believe it's in the tech-tips (I would link it, but my mouse just died, and my freakin' keyboard's right click DOESN'T WORK ).

I forget the part number, but it was a duralast gasket for (I THINK) a toyota corolla thermostat...cost only like, $7! Easy to change as well!

Very good to know as E Bay charges a separate tax on items? I don't know when that garbage came about but not liking it.

No way, really?? I didn't know that myself! I didn't notice, as I bought a ACCT off there a month ago...still only cost me $12! Pristine shape; from a Raptor.

I paid $31.00 including shipping then another $2.07 tax-Several months ago they came up with new garbage so sellers get paid quicker-at the expense of others!

            Sales tax?

If you buy something form the state your in, then you should pay sales tax.

Sales tax in NJ is 6.625$

            $31 x $6.625 = $2.05.

Sure that wasn't sales tax? I never have any 'special tax' on eBay.

It is not from my state. E bay says they don't charge tax-the seller does-they say he has the option to do so if they have a warehouse in your state.

Not anymore! The courts have said ALL ONLINE SALES MUST include the sales tax for the location the part is shipping to.
As someone selling a used part from his home, you don't "have" to, but you may be liable. Any business in the US must now collect the sales taxes, and send them to the state, for any online sale. It no longer matters if they have any physical presence in that state.

Part number should be 2M0-24641-00-00. It's available at boats.net and Partzilla which could be the same now for about $28 with shipping. https://www.partzilla.com/product/ya...SAAEgJMTPD_BwE

The thread about the substitute is under the repairs section. It says to use Felpro part # 35292. It's available at Advanced Auto Parts for about $3.50.

                  A little less than Autozone

I may get one of these and try it out.
