Hey Josh. No feelings hurt here and just throwing some shade to get a rise from the experts. There is vast knowledge here and if it wasn’t for this site I would still be working through my first set of carbs that were having electrical problems. I have now put five xs11’s back on the road (just sold my LAST ONE) and am satisfied I can build one from the ground up or figure out why it doesn’t go. I am passing along extra parts accumulated over time and thought the loop brace was a desirable addition since I saw them on motorcycles supported by racing teams. If I am wrong and they break and kill people, or actually don’t work and are just used to make a bike look silly, I would toss it like Ray is doing with his. I really don’t think that is the case though and figured it would get shot down here because it isn’t the latest and greatest or bestus. Keep an eye out for xs11s going cheap. Two that I bought had the clamping type brace. I didn’t like the black with the chrome fenders I had so this one didn’t go back on a bike other than running it in lieu of no fender for a while. Wish I had known about that wiggle test. No more bikes to try it out on now.

The hoop brace might be better than no brace, depending upon how well it fits. HHB makes a very stout one, but the fender won’t fit with it. The hoop in question is sold by Mike’s XS and other vendors.

I wish someone had taken the baton from Tkat.
