I apologize for my total rookie status when it comes to chat threads, but I wanted to pass along a site with great site for spec diagrams and parts ordering - www.yamahaaccy.com.
I'm also a rookie when it comes to wrenching on my '80 XS11G. Question for the experts b4 I start hacking on my own . . . I've got a problem where gas has leaked down into the cylinders and down to the bottom of the engine. A. I estimate I've logged 30 miles b4 I caught onto the problem. Could there be lasting damage to the engine? B. Assuming this problem is with the carbs which I've never really worked on b4 - I want to take it on myself but am concerned with the high potential of error. Looking for the strength of advisement for bringing it into a shop. Thanks!!
