Sorry, but actually I did in 2000 when I needed to replace mine. I just swapped out the guts in the switch itself because I wasn't too impressed with the thickness/gauge of the wires of the NEW switch.

Oops... you know, I had completely forgotten about that, T.C.
So it's held up for seven years, even with the different contact lengths? Right on!

Also remember just because its sticking doesn't mean it needs a rebuild......that little hole in there may be plugged and just need cleaned out in the rear master.

I have read a few posts on sticky brakes and most of the time its that little hole that allows the relief when you let off the brakes.

        Do the brakes leak anywhere?

Cleaned the caliper through out, really crusty, while waiting for a new seal kit thought I'd try it. No leaks on the bench with a front MC it pumped out about an 1/8" then the MC stopped pumping. Spent hours before I figured that, then hooked a known working caliper to it and it would not pump up either. Wasted about a bottle and a half DOT3 then realized
THINGS HAPPEN IN 3s, thought I already had my 3

All it takes is a small air bubble in the wrong place! IF you have the HF Vacuum hand pump, us it to get the air out of ALL the lines and then try again. DO NOT LET THE LEVEL GO DOWN TOO LOW in the reservoir or you have to start all over again.

Double checked for air even cracked the banjo on the MC no air ?
Next put it back on the bike where it belongs and do this again then again when the kit shows up
