Make sure that the pressed-in air jet is clean. It is in the inlet bell of the carb and I think it bleeds air to those emulsion tubes.

Yes thanks I found that out earlier. Still haven't found any what's called an x - 2 needle jet. It seems there's a model series also so when you're trying to buy 1, or 4 in this case, if the vendor doesn't list the application then you have to know this also. From what I read all x s 11 and XJ models use the same needle jet. I can always block a couple holes for the middle ones but I do need for nice used or new ones if anyone could help, much appreciatedLast edited by myac455; 09-10-2018, 08:22 AM.Mark Yac

Anyway, I'd like to get some tubes on the way in a day or so. Mikes hasn't responded yet.
I would like to know what the half round wall on the top of the 1100 tubes actually does...as opposed to Mikes 650 tubes that don't have that baffle wall deal.
Now a read that the 650 tubes are a different calibration and will need re-tuning.
I really would like to converse with someone who's had hands on experience with Mikes 650 tubes.
