  • Groove in front rotors.

Hi guys. I'm starting to get grooves in front calipers. Looking at the pads there still good yet. There still squeaking cause I haven't put the stop squeal grease on yet. It's rolling good and stopping well. Any suggestions. I do have replacement pads if need to change. Thanks for all the help past and present.

Change pads! You may have a rock or bit of something that is now worked into the pads, causing the groove. If it's deep, you may need to replace the rotor.

      + 1 with Ray !
Inspect those pads close if you find some debris poke it out of the pad and re-install, should be good.
If you can't find what is causing this groove and remove it, get new pads !

OH, and the anti squeal is not grease it's more like a thick resin, sprayed on like paint that gets hard but still rubbery, a little anyway. It's made to cushion the pad against the caliper cup surface. The pad metal against the cup metal is what causes SQUEAL.

Will do. Not sure if anything is poking out but I'll inspect.
