Clearance for the intake valve on cylinder #1 is .0015 with a 280 shim. I read here that each shim size is equal to .002. If that's the case I should use a 265 shim to reach the high end of spec at .008 correct? This was the tightest of them all. I just want someone to verify my math is correct.

.0015 + .006 = .0075..you should set them at the wide end of the specs because the will close up with wear.Greg
